Privacy Policy

This page explains what Socio collects from contractors and homeowners who contact us, how it is used, where it is stored, and how to request deletion. It is not legal advice.

Socio↗NEW YORK CITY

1. What we collect

When you message us or submit a form on this site, we collect what you give us: name, phone number, email (if provided), NYC borough, trade or project type, and any message or project details you include. We do not collect payment or bank information through this site — see § 5.

2. How we use it

To respond to you on WhatsApp, to match a homeowner’s project with a contractor, and to run the marketing service described in the Marketing Services Agreement. We do not sell contact information to third parties.

3. Where it’s stored

Contact and message data submitted through this site is stored in Socio’s Supabase database, a hosted Postgres provider. WhatsApp messages themselves are handled by WhatsApp/Meta under their own privacy terms once a conversation starts.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep contact records for as long as needed to run the service described above. Message us on WhatsApp or email to request your record be deleted, and we will remove it, except where we’re required to keep it (for example, records tied to an active contractor agreement or a legal obligation).

5. No payment data

Socio does not process, hold, or store payment or bank information. Contractor fees are invoiced separately and paid outside this site; Socio never receives or controls customer deposits (see the Marketing Services Agreement, § 3).

6. Cookies and analytics

This site uses standard hosting-provider logs (Vercel) to keep the site running and secure. We do not run third-party ad-tracking pixels.
